Help Tell the Story of the Battle of Jug Bridge
We are raising funds to create a historic wayside marking the Battle of Jug Bridge, fought just east of Frederick on July 9, 1864. This important Civil War clash, part of General Jubal Early’s march toward Washington, D.C., was a defining moment in our region’s history. By supporting this project, you will help us to design and install an interpretive wayside that shares the story of the soldiers and community members who stood here more than 160 years ago. Your contribution will help preserve their legacy and make this chapter of history accessible to visitors, students, and future generations. Together, we can bring the story of Jug Bridge to life where it happened.
Your donation helps to preserve, protect, & enhance Monocacy.
