The Monocacy National Battlefield Foundation works with the National Park Service to preserve and enhance the historic value and natural beauty of the Monocacy National Battlefield and its environment. We do this by:

• Raising community awareness of the significance of the battle and the natural landscape of the Battlefield and the Monocacy River in its midst.
  
  
• Developing funding and other resources to help support and sustain the Monocacy National Battlefield’s educational, environmental, and recreational programs.
  
  
• Inspiring the next generation of historians and stewards of the Park’s surroundings.
